The semicolon is a symbol for those of us who have survived ourselves. It means the story isn’t over, even when it almost was. I—and many others—wear this symbol not to glorify pain, but to acknowledge it. To say: I’ve been there. I’m still here.
But Semicolon Squadron is more than awareness or support. It’s about starting the conversations we so often fear or avoid. It’s about building a circle where no one feels alone in the dark.
When I was at my lowest, I felt utterly isolated—like there was no one to talk to, no one who would miss me beyond a week or two. This design, this squad, is my way of reaching out to anyone who’s felt that way. To say: you matter, your story matters, and here, you will be heard.
